Privacy, Compliance and Data Ownership

Ouva adopts patient-centered design principles that respect patient data with focus on improving technology, not invading privacy.

Privacy-Transformed Streams

Whenever possible, Ouva transforms optical sensing streams to unidentifiable format that can be understood by machine learning algorithms, in order to provide full privacy, while retaining the benefits of full visual intelligence.

HIPAA/GDPR

All data transmission and storage components use by Ouva are HIPAA-compliant where applicable. Additionally, Ouva follows rigorous guidelines of GDPR for all systems.

Data Ownership

When data is originated from and identified to the people, we strongly believe that all identifiable data should be owned by respective citizens. Ouva provides controls for data to be accessed, transported and removed by its respective owner. Where this approach is not feasible, the ownership is transferred to the facility.

Training Datasets

In rare cases Ouva platform is customized to the facility using data during pilot/test phase of the integration. This data is used only through signed agreement with the facility.
